We tried Smartsheet. We tried Excel. We looked at every shop management platform we could find. None of them understood the trade. They didn't know what a tester bottle weighs. Frequently Asked Questions

No. Both are completely optional. ShopTrakOS runs perfectly well as a standalone platform. QuickBooks integration saves time by pushing invoices from finished work orders automatically. FastBound integration saves FFL holders from manually logging firearms in and out of their bound book. If you don't use either — or use different tools — the platform's core features work without them.

Only if you want those integrations connected during onboarding. If you do, have your login credentials ready before the call. On the session, we'll walk you through generating the API keys inside each platform — those keys are specific to your account and only you can generate them. We guide the process, you complete it.

The onboarding session runs about 90 minutes. By the end of the call your shop profile is built, your staff accounts are created, your disclaimers are configured, your pricing is in the system, and you've walked through a real work order end to end. Most shops are running live jobs on the platform the same day as their onboarding session.

The Cerakote-specific features — bottle weight tracking, color codes, expiration alerts — are there when you need them and stay out of the way when you don't.

Yes. Cerakote is an international trade and ShopTrakOS was built to serve finishing shops wherever they operate. Core features — job tracking, inventory, customer management, workflow — work the same worldwide. FastBound is a US-only tool. No contracts. Cancel anytime — no penalty, no questions. Cancellations take effect at the end of your current billing period. Monthly subscribers keep access through the end of the month they've paid for. Annual subscribers keep access through the end of their paid year.

You send it to the customer via Adobe Sign, Dropbox Sign, or any e-signature tool of your choice. They sign digitally before work begins. Same legal protection as a paper signature — without the customer having to be in your shop.

Yes — completely. We ship with a sensible default set covering warranty terms, surface condition, storage fees, and custom handcrafted work variation. Edit them, replace them, or write your own from scratch. The disclaimers are yours. ShopTrakOS provides the platform to enforce them — not the legal language itself. We recommend consulting an attorney to ensure your disclaimer language reflects your local laws and business model.
